Indoor and outdoor playrooms offer safe features that encourage non-stop fun and activity. Dogs can run free or simply enjoy the relaxed off-leash setting.

COMPANIONSHIP

Furry playmates greet your dog every day, providing valuable socializing and learning opportunities. This can help your dog relax and stem any separation anxiety.

Health

We require a veterinarian certificate showing proof of vaccinations for DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus and parainfluenza), Rabies, Bordetella, Bivalent Canine Influenza and a negative Fecal exam. Titer protection may be substituted for the distemper and parvovirus vaccinations. Dogs must be spayed or neutered after 6 months of age. Please ask for our Neuter/ Spay policy.We welcome puppies as long as they have their full round of shots.

Emergencies

If your dog becomes ill during their stay, we will contact you and your veterinarian immediately. In case of emergency, we will transport your dog to the nearest veterinary clinic.

Feeding

Please bring breakfast, lunch, or dinner in plastic storage bags. No rawhides please.

Comfort

All dogs enjoy their own orthopedic elevated bed during break time.

Brain Power

Did you know that play can help your dog achieve and maintain good mental health? Group play is exciting and promotes positive social behavior.

Happy Activity

Dogs deprived of enough physical activity can become bored and frustrated, which may lead to behavior problems. Fortunately, there’s no shortage of play at The Barkshire!

You’re never farther away from seeing your dog than the nearest internet connection. A password is required; please contact The Barkshire. Webcam viewing is available between the hours of 9AM-11:30AM and 2PM-5PM Eastern Time.
