Come Stay At The Barkshire
Dogs left behind at home may feel abandoned and frightened. Returning to The Barkshire time and again when you need to be away lets them know they’re cared for and still with family. You will have peace of mind that they are enjoying their own “stay-cation” in a safe, clean fun and stress-free environment.
We offer individual, cage free suites with glass fronts so they can see out, equipped with individual raised orthopedic cot style beds and fresh clean water changed multiple times a day. Your dog will receive many opportunities for outdoor play and potty times. Our building is climate controlled with bright, natural light and is equipped with air filtration. At night, we dim the lights so that your dog can relax and let their natural circadian rhythm take over for a restful night’s sleep.
We are staffed 24/7 which means a supportive, watchful and caring eye available for your dog at all times. Our staff will also feed them meals per your instructions to keep them as on schedule as possible.
Benefits of Boarding Your Dog
Boarding your dog at The Barkshire can offer several benefits, both for you and your dog.
-
Professional Care: We have trained staff who understand dog behavior and can provide proper care. They ensure your dog receives attention, exercise, and appropriate feeding schedules, which can be reassuring if you're away for an extended period.
- Socialization Opportunities: We offer opportunities for dogs to interact with others in a controlled environment. This can be beneficial for their socialization skills, especially if they don't frequently encounter other dogs. Socialization can prevent behavioral issues and promote overall well-being.
- Safety and Security: We prioritize the safety and security of their canine guests. They typically have secure enclosures, surveillance systems, and protocols in place to prevent escapes and ensure the well-being of the animals in their care. This can provide peace of mind, especially if you're traveling and unable to personally supervise your dog.
- Routine Maintenance: Boarding your dog can help maintain their routine, including feeding schedules, exercise, and bathroom breaks. Dogs thrive on consistency, and a good boarding facility will strive to adhere to your pet's usual routine as closely as possible, minimizing stress and disruption to their daily life.
- 24/7 Supervision: Unlike leaving your dog at home alone or with a pet sitter who may not be present around the clock, boarding facilities typically offer continuous supervision. This means there's someone available to monitor your dog's health and well-being, respond to any emergencies promptly, and provide companionship throughout their stay.
