DOG DAYCARE

Unleash the joy of organized, safe group play

Come Play At The Barkshire

No one likes being stuck inside all day – least of all man’s best friend.  Unchain your dog from your work schedule.  Our indoor and outdoor play areas offer safe socialization with lots of fun and activity.  Dogs can run free or simply enjoy the relaxed off leash setting.

Your dog will get to know playmates that will greet them with excitement every day providing valuable socializing and learning opportunities.  This will help your dog relax and overcome separation anxiety.  Dogs deprived of enough physical activity can become bored and frustrated, which can lead to behavior problems.  Fortunately, there’s no shortage of play at The Barkshire.

We offer two hours of group play for medium and large dogs in the morning and again in the afternoon.  We believe that dogs need rest in between play time and each dog will receive their own room and an elevated orthopedic cot bed for nap time in between the play times.  Small dogs have all day open group but if they need alone time we have rooms for our small furry friends too.

Benefits Of Daycare For Dogs

  1. Socialization: Daycare provides a structured environment where your dog can interact with other dogs and people, helping them develop better social skills and reducing the likelihood of behavior problems related to fear or aggression towards other dogs.
  2. Exercise and Physical Activity: Dogs need regular exercise to stay healthy and happy. Daycare typically offers activities and play sessions that keep dogs physically active throughout the day, which can be especially beneficial for high-energy breeds.
  3. Mental Stimulation: In addition to physical exercise, daycare often provides mental stimulation through games, puzzles, and interaction with staff and other dogs. This can help prevent boredom and alleviate separation anxiety.
  4. Supervision and Safety: Professional daycare facilities are staffed with trained professionals who can monitor the dogs and intervene if any issues arise. This supervision helps ensure the safety of your dog while they are playing and interacting with others.
  5. Relief from Boredom and Loneliness: For dogs who are left alone for long periods during the day, daycare provides companionship and prevents boredom and loneliness. This can be especially beneficial for dogs prone to destructive behavior when left alone.
  6. Routine and Structure: Daycare typically follows a structured routine, including scheduled playtimes, rest periods, and meals. This routine can help dogs feel more secure and reduce stress and anxiety.
